Who are we?
Sexpression:UK is a network of student projects based at UK universities. We believe in empowering young people to make informed choices about their sexual and reproductive health. We do this by running informal, fun, student-led sex and relationships sessions in our local communities.
Sexpression is an independent student-led initiative, not affiliated to any religious or political cause.
There will be a joint social for Sexpression organised by Medsoc during freshers....Get your condom technique sorted for our special relay race!
Exeter hosted a Sexy Pub Quiz for the first time last year and would like to make it an annual event! Watch this space!
We also hope to introduce many more microteaches this year!
We are open to ideas for socials/ fundraising, don't hesitate to contact us! Also if you have any embarrassing photos from Sexpression socials that you feel should be publicised on here let us know!
What we do
We deliver interactive and informal teaching sessions to school aged students from year 7 up to year 13, in small groups, creating a relaxed environment to learn about sexual health and broach sensitive topics. Some of the topics we currently teach are:
• Sexually Transmitted Infections and Contraception.
• Relationships and Self-esteem
• Sexuality and Discrimination
• Attitudes and Values
• Alcohol and Binge Drinking
We have got plenty of teaching sessions planned this year with the addition of some new schools. So we need your help! Get involved, sign up and volunteer!!
All Sexpression members are fully trained to teach Sex and Relationships education at our training weekend. Get excited because there will be a very sexy social planned for the end of training.
